About Shawn
With a career spanning the hospitality and entertainment industries, Shawn has connected with people from across the nation and around the world. A Texas native, Shawn embarked on a journey from California to New York in the early 90s where he enrolled at a performing arts school. After graduation, Shawn balanced his pursuit of acting with work in restaurants and bars throughout New York City.
In 2018, Shawn and his wife made Jackson Heights their home, instantly falling in love with its rich cultural tapestry. During a night out, they discovered Upstairs Cocktail Bar. His deep appreciation for different cultures, coupled with his background in hospitality and entertainment, made him the perfect fit for Upstairs Cocktail Bar.
He joined the team in March, 2023, and he’s been wowing guests with his infectious energy and talent for crafting extraordinary cocktails ever since.
